About this file
This is a Job Specification document for temporary portable head and washbasin services aboard a barge (YON-285).
The work involves providing and maintaining temporary portable sanitation facilities at a designated barge location from the Period of Performance (POP) start date of September 28, 2026 through the POP end date of April 30, 2027, with an anticipated award date of July 31, 2026. The scope requires the contractor to supply and maintain two temporary portable heads for male use, one temporary portable head for female use, and one portable washbasin with mirror and foundation (approximately 300 millimeters in height). Each head must include a water closet (western type), sewage accumulating tank, and door with locking device operated from inside. Specific requirements include installing bilingual label plates (English and Japanese) designating male and female use, providing hoses for the heads and washbasin, supplying toilet paper and soap throughout the period, cleaning each head and washbasin twice daily, applying approximately 200 cubic centimeters of disinfectant to urinals and toilet bowls twice daily, and securing all fixtures against damage from weather. The contractor must also collect, transport, and dispose of approximately 4,188 gallons of sewage accumulated in the heads and washbasin drains in accordance with Japan Environmental Governing Standards (JEGS), and submit a legible report to the supervisor documenting the amount of sewage discharged (in gallons). The temporary heads are required for 7B1 availability. No government-furnished material is provided.
