QUESTION (Q) 66: See questions below.
1. In drawing sheet C3, the existing underground transmission line is required to be concrete encased, please provide information as to size and depth of existing underground transmission line required to be concrete encased.
2. In drawing sheet C3, the existing “covers” requires to be adjusted to match access road elevation. Can the government provide information as to size, section and existing elevation of electrical manhole covers that needs to be adjusted to match access road elevation?
3. Please confirm that redesigning of the existing manhole is not required to meet traffic rating requirement.
A66: If the information is not available, bidders are to verify actual condition and make assumptions.
The covers must be traffic rated since they are located along the access road and will depend on the final road elevation. Bidders will be responsible for measurement and assumptions of existing manhole and hand hole. A second site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, 19 July 22 at 2:00pm, Guam time.
Q128: This section states that the finishes shall be coordinated with section C30 Interior Finishes.
However, in section C30 Interior Finishes there is no given finish specifically for Demountable Partition.
Please provide finish for demountable partitions.
A128: The demountable partitions shall be fabric finish with STC 42. Part 3 – Project Program to be revised by a forthcoming amendment. Refer to Amendment 0005 for revised Part 3 – Project Program.
Q139: With the recent situation, we would like to request a 30-day time extension for the bid proposal submission. Getting quotations from local and off-island suppliers and prospective subcontractors is a challenge. Thank you.
A139: Refer to Amendment 0005.
