All metal connectors and fasteners for interior masonry shall be hot-dipped galvanized.
Masonry interior walls in non-conditioned interior spaces and exterior screen walls shall be reinforced, fully grouted and shall have a protective silicone enhanced EFS or similar coating to protect reinforcement and metal connections from corrosion that may be caused by wind driven rains and the corrosive marine environment.

The ceramic screws consist of zinc coated steel screws that are entirely coated (head, shank, and threads) with ceramic. The bottom metal floor track shall have a continuous foam strip made for separating the bottom track from the concrete floor slab. Metal partition floor tracks shall be vacuumed to remove all debris and sprayed with a mold resistant coating sealer to help control mold just before closing with paperless gypsum wallboard.
