About this file

This document outlines the insurance requirements for contractors and vendors doing business with the City of St. Cloud, Florida. The requirements specify detailed liability insurance standards that must be met by any entity performing work for the city, including submission of a Certificate of Liability Insurance at least 30 days prior to project start date. The documentation mandates various insurance coverage types and minimum coverage limits, including General Liability ($1,000,000 each occurrence), Auto Liability ($1,000,000 Combined Single Limit), Worker's Compensation, and additional optional coverages like Environmental/Pollution Liability and Professional Liability.

The insurance requirements are comprehensive, stipulating that insurers must have an A.M. Best Financial Strength Rating of A- or better and Financial Strength Category of VII or better. Contractors must list the City of St. Cloud as an Additional Insured and include specific project details on their certificates. The city reserves the right to require increased coverage limits, and contractors must submit their insurance documentation to the Procurement Services Department via fax or email. The requirements apply to various scenarios, such as work performed on city property, vehicle usage, facility repairs, and project-specific operations, with coverage limits ranging from $500,000 to $2,000,000 depending on the type of liability.
