About this file
This document is a Data Item Description (DID) for a Repairable Item Inspection Report (DI-PSSS-80386A), approved on June 27, 2017. The DID specifies the format and content requirements for contractors performing repair work, superseding a previous version. The report must include detailed information such as inspection analysis number, contract number, CAGE codes, national stock number, part number, serial number, repair date codes, quantitative test details, repair action descriptions, and malfunction cause analysis.
The document is applicable to contractor repair contracts and will be used by the government to assess unit malfunctions and determine potential corrective actions. The report format is flexible, allowing contractors to use their own document structure while meeting specific content requirements. The DID is part of a broader federal contract opportunity for repairing DC motors and motor electrical DC brushes for the Mini-MUTES Program, involving specific NSN items and associated deliverables at Hill Air Force Base.
