About this file
This is an E-Verify Requirement document issued by the Town of Palm Beach, Florida, for a Design-Build services contract related to the Mid-Town Seawall Replacement Project. The document establishes compliance requirements for all proposers and their subcontractors with Florida Statutes Section 448.095 regarding employment eligibility verification. Proposers must be registered with the E-Verify System and use it to electronically verify employment eligibility of all newly hired workers beginning January 1, 2021. All subcontractors performing duties and obligations under the contract must similarly be registered with E-Verify and comply with the same verification requirements. The mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting and Site Visit is scheduled for March 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM EST at the Public Works Building in West Palm Beach, with the site visit following at the Worth Avenue Clock Tower in Palm Beach. Failure to attend this mandatory meeting will result in disqualification from the solicitation process.
Proposers must obtain affidavits from each subcontractor confirming that the subcontractor does not employ, contract with, or subcontract with unauthorized aliens as defined by Florida law. The consultant must maintain copies of such affidavits for the duration of the subcontract and any extensions. The Town of Palm Beach reserves the right to terminate the contract if it has good faith belief that the contractor has knowingly violated Section 448.09(1) of Florida Statutes. Should termination occur, the contractor will be barred from receiving future Town contracts for one year from the termination date and will be liable for any additional costs incurred by the Town as a result of the termination. If a subcontractor violates the statute, the contractor must immediately terminate that subcontractor upon notification from the Town.
