The RFP does not specify explicit set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises, though local preference may be claimed by businesses maintaining a principal place of business within Walton County or having maintained a permanent place of business and employed county residents for at least six months prior to RFP advertisement. Current insurance is placed through multiple carriers including the Florida Municipal Insurance Trust (FMIT) for automobile, property, and workers' compensation coverage; the Florida Association of Counties Trust (FACT) for general liability and cyber liability; Commerce and Industry Insurance Company for storage tank liability; Mount Vernon Fire Insurance Company for liquor liability; National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh for blanket accident insurance for recreation; AXIS Insurance Company for probation-related blanket accident coverage; and Bass Underwriters Inc. for specialty property coverage.
