Vehicle Class Counts Output - Length Interstate.xlsx

This file is a Vehicle Class Counts Output spreadsheet from the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) Traffic Engineering Division, documenting traffic count data for Brunswick, Maine on Interstate Highway in 2022. The spreadsheet contains comprehensive daily vehicle classification counts organized by lane direction (northbound and southbound) with detailed breakdowns of 13 vehicle classes including motorcycles, cars, pickup trucks, buses, single-unit trucks, and various tractor-trailer configurations. The data covers the full calendar year 2022 (365 days) with entries for each day, including day-of-week designations, total vehicle counts, heavy truck classifications (Classes 4-13, 4-7, and 8-13), average daily traffic (ADT), and percentages of heavy truck traffic. The spreadsheet includes summary reports showing monthly and seasonal trends, with January data beginning at Saturday, January 1, 2022, and continuing through December 31, 2022, capturing traffic patterns across weekdays and weekends throughout all seasons.

The data is organized in tabular format with multiple worksheets containing individual month charts, year-to-date summaries, and various heavy truck analysis by class and axle configuration. Annual totals show 8,483,052 total vehicles counted across 363 days of data collection at Station 130503053901 (Group 53901), with an annual average daily traffic (AADT) of 23,370 vehicles and 1,959 heavy trucks (Classes 4-13), representing 8.38 percent of total traffic. The file includes axle count totals of 15,543,946 axles for analysis and tube count data of 8,921,844 for traffic monitoring equipment. This dataset directly supports MaineDOT's Traffic Count SaaS procurement (RFP #202510141) by demonstrating the volume and complexity of continuous count site data that the new software platform must manage, process, and report for federal compliance submissions including HPMS and TMAS requirements.
