About this file
This document contains questions and answers related to a solicitation for construction of jet fuel storage tanks and support infrastructure at Royal Australian Air Force Base Tindal in Australia. The solicitation seeks a design-build contractor to construct two 25,000-barrel cut-and-cover bulk fuel tanks, along with two pump houses, a liquid fuel truck fill stand, fuel stand unloading and filter building, utilities, automatic tank gauging systems, site improvements, pavements, communications infrastructure, a backup generator, and other work to provide a complete and usable facility. Additionally, there are three pre-priced options for concrete vs. asphalt pavements, a cross over pit for fuel transfer lines, and a hydrant-hose checkout station. The document provides answers to clarify that unexploded ordnance clearance will be completed prior to site possession and certification will be provided to the contractor. Security escort requirements and limitations are also defined.
