About this file

This Scope of Work document outlines roofing replacement specifications for Mason High School, a project under the jurisdiction of Michigan. The project encompasses the replacement of roofing systems across thirteen roof sections (Roofs 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13) using a THERMastic 80 Built-Up system, and two additional roof sections (Roofs 14 and 15) utilizing a TremPly KEE system. The THERMastic 80 scope includes removal of existing roofing and insulation, replacement of damaged decking and wood nailers on a unit cost basis, installation of polyisocyanurate insulation at R-20 average, multiple layers of felt and composite materials, installation of lead and metal flashings, and application of flood coat with gravel. The TremPly KEE scope for Roofs 14 and 15 involves removal of existing systems, installation of base sheets, polyisocyanurate insulation, DensDeck, and TremPly KEE 60 mil fleece-back membrane, along with new aluminum edge metal and conductor systems. Both systems require installation of new metal pitch pockets, counter flashings, and coping caps to match existing conditions.

Both roofing systems include manufacturer-provided 20-year quality assurance warranties with scheduled inspections during years 2, 5, 10, and 15, with online reports of findings and maintenance recommendations. All work must comply with Michigan prevailing wage requirements. The document specifies material specifications, application rates, and installation sequences in detail, including Premium III asphalt adhesive application rates, flood coat specifications at 60 lbs per square, and gravel installation at 400 lbs per square. An alternate bid option is available for Roofs 2 and 9 to be installed via the THERMastic 80 system. The scope of work establishes the technical requirements for contractor performance but does not specify pricing terms, project timeline, or award dates within the provided documentation.
