About this file
This is a Scope of Work document for the Mason High School roofing replacement project in Michigan. The project encompasses the replacement of roofing systems on thirteen roof sections (Roofs 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15) during the summer of 2027. The primary scope involves two distinct roofing system types: a THERMastic 80 Built-Up replacement system for Roofs 1, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 13, and a TremPly KEE roofing replacement system for Roofs 14 and 15. The THERMastic 80 system includes removal of existing roofing and insulation, replacement of damaged decking and nailers, installation of polyisocyanurate insulation at R-20 average, multiple layers of felt and base sheets, elastomeric flashings, metal pitch pockets, and kynar-coated steel/aluminum counter flashings and coping caps. The TremPly KEE system involves similar removal and preparation work, followed by installation of composite ply base sheet, polyisocyanurate insulation, DensDeck, and 60-mil fleece-back membranes, with new aluminum edge metal, conductor heads, and downspouts. Roofs 2 and 9 may be installed using the THERMastic 80 system if an alternate bid is selected.
Both roofing systems include manufacturer 20-year quality assurance warranties with scheduled inspections during years 2, 5, 10, and 15, which provide online reports of findings and recommended maintenance. The contractor must meet all prevailing wage requirements for the State of Michigan. No specific pricing information, response deadlines, bidder conference dates, or funding sources are detailed in this scope document.
