About this file
This is a Payment and Performance Bond document for a state and local contract opportunity in Volusia County, Florida, related to the Veterans Memorial Parkway Extension project's clearing and grubbing work for advance utility removal and relocations. The bond serves as a financial guarantee that the contractor selected for this project will fulfill all contractual obligations, including completion of the clearing and grubbing activities across specified areas within the new right-of-way of Veterans Memorial Parkway, Kentucky Avenue, and associated temporary construction easements. The contractor is required to perform clearing and grubbing operations while adhering to Florida's Erosion and Sediment Control Design and Reviewer Manual standards and all applicable best management practices throughout the project duration.
The Payment and Performance Bond is a standard requirement for construction projects of this nature and protects the county against contractor default or failure to complete work as specified. The bond amount would be tied to the total contract value for the clearing and grubbing phase of the Veterans Memorial Parkway Extension project. This financial instrument ensures that both project payments are properly managed and that performance obligations are guaranteed, providing Volusia County with security that the work will be completed in accordance with all terms, conditions, requirements, and limitations established in the contract specifications and construction documents.
