About this file
This is a de-installation and installation checklist template (CDRL D001) for the Smiths Detection Ionscan 500DT Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) system used by the Transportation Security Administration. The checklist is designed to document the condition and functionality of the equipment during removal and deployment operations for the Screening Equipment Deployment Services (SEDS) - Checkpoint (CP) contract (solicitation 70T04026R7672N005).
The checklist requires contractors to verify inventory of all required components including the main system unit (P/N: 4816800-201-A), power cord, sampler kit, manuals, maintenance kits, calibration data, gaskets, condenser tube assemblies, printer paper, swabs, hand wand, and filters. Contractors must document the date of the last radiation leak test, current software version, and overall unit condition by conducting functionality tests to confirm the system powers on, achieves ready status, allows supervisor login, maintains correct time, passes verification checks, and operates alarm and printer functions correctly. The checklist requires photographic documentation of the unit operational status and all sides, serial number, and barcode. Equipment must be cleaned using only chemical-free dry cloth or Kimwipes, then packaged in a high-density fiberboard box (22-1/2"L x 20-5/16"W x 19-1/2"H) with a 3MIL non-anti-static bag and secured with a zip tie. The completed checklist must be signed and dated by the performing contractor technician and witnessed by a federal employee to confirm on-site completion, with documentation of any damage, missing components, or returned verification kits.
