About this file
This document is a Submittals specification section (01 33 00) establishing procedures and requirements for Bristol Borough's 2026 CDBG Curb Ramp Program in Pennsylvania. The specification outlines comprehensive submittal procedures requiring contractors to submit construction progress schedules, product data, shop drawings, samples, design data, test reports, certificates, and manufacturer's instructions to the Owner's Engineer for review and approval. Contractors must submit a preliminary progress schedule within 10 days of the effective agreement date, with a final schedule due within 10 days of the preconstruction conference, and revised schedules submitted with each Application for Payment. All submittals must be sequentially numbered, reviewed and approved by the Contractor's Design Engineer prior to submission, and allow 15 days for Owner's Engineer review excluding delivery time. The specification requires contractors to identify project variations, product limitations, and coordinate submission of related items to expedite the ADA/PennDOT compliant curb ramp project involving sidewalks, curbing, and sign relocation throughout Bristol Borough.
The submittals specification establishes three categories of submission purposes: items for review (checked for conformance with contract documents and design concepts), items for information (submitted for contract administrator knowledge), and items for project closeout (submitted for owner benefit). Contractors must provide the quantity of copies they require plus three additional copies for the Owner's Engineer, with all copies marked to identify applicable products, models, and project-specific information. The specification mandates that contractors supplement manufacturer's standard data with project-specific information, identify utility and electrical characteristics and connection requirements, and submit samples demonstrating both functional and aesthetic characteristics. Manufacturer's instructions, field reports, and certifications must be submitted in compliance with individual specification sections, with field reports submitted within 30 days of observation. The document references related sections for quality control, manufacturers' field services, and contract closeout procedures including maintenance bonds, warranties, and record drawings.
