About this file
This is a Narrative Construction Schedule specification document for the 2026 Bristol Borough CDBG Curb Ramp Program in Pennsylvania, outlining contractual requirements for schedule preparation and project management. The contractor must prepare, maintain, and revise a detailed construction project schedule based on the anticipated Notice to Proceed date, with an initial schedule submitted prior to construction commencement that identifies the design phase start date and construction phase sequencing for each intersection. The schedule must include minimum required elements: activity descriptions and locations, duration in working days, and start/finish calendar dates for all activities. Additionally, the contractor shall submit a workday calendar specifying work days, non-work days, shift quantities per day, and hours per shift, with sufficient activity detail to demonstrate necessary interdependencies. The Owner's Engineer will review and respond to the detailed schedule and supporting documentation within 10 calendar days of receipt, and the contractor may be required to attend a scheduling meeting if the schedule is not received prior to construction start.
Progress payments may be withheld by the Owner until an acceptable schedule is submitted and approved. The construction schedule specification requires the contractor to provide a narrative description of the schedule incorporating all submitted information and demonstrating project sequencing logic. Failure to submit the schedule prior to construction initiation may delay payment release and require mandatory scheduling meetings with the Owner. This specification is cross-referenced with Section 01 31 00 regarding coordination and meetings, indicating that schedule management is integrated into broader project coordination requirements under the CDBG-funded curb ramp improvement project.
