Stacy Hoover Contracting Officer Renovate 7AN for GIGU and Procedure Clinic Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI

I. The following changes are to be made to the solicitation:

Questions and Answers / Clarifications are the result of bidders request(s) for information received to date.

II. The following changes are made on project specifications:

None III. The following changes are made on project drawings:

ET101 was revised to include three more phone/data ports.

IV. The following Questions and Answers / Clarifications are the result of bidders request(s) for information:

98. Are there As-Built Drawings for the reflected ceiling plan for the 6th and 7th floor?

Please see VA’s response to RFI#58 on Amendment 0002.

99. Is VA planning to issue amendment 02 consisting RFI responses and bid extension notice? Please let us know.

Amendment 0002 was posted to beta.SAM on November 17, 2020 which included VA’s RFI responses and a bid extension notice.

100. We are a vendor on the VA IDIQ contract. Just wanted to check in with you to see if there is any way that we can support you. Enjoy your day!

Please review the solicitation/amendments and provide a proposal accordingly.

101. Would you happen to have a list of Mechanical contractors bidding for this project?

Please review the site-visit sign-in sheet posted with Amendment 0001 on October 30, 2020.

102. The schedule calls for Beacon and Amico; would you allow Patton’s Medical as an approved equal?

Med Gas systems (outlets and alarms) are sole sourced. A sole source justification was included in the solicitation documents.

103. We have been requested by general contractors to send our pricing to them today by end of day in order to give them enough time to review and submit by 1pm tomorrow. Just checking in with you to see if you happen to know when the RFI answers will be coming out. The RFI answers would affect our pricing and we would like to submit our quotes as accurately as possible.

Please continue to monitor beta.SAM. An amendment was posted this morning.

104. We had an additional question come in that will affect the work on the 6th floor. I'm hoping this can get clarified in an Amendment. Sheet AD102 shows metal pan ceilings throughout most of the corridors at multiple locations where plumbing work needs to be done. General Note C on Sheet AD102 and Plumbing General Note F on Sheet PL106 indicate to reinstall existing ceilings each day at the end of the work shift. The metal pan ceilings cannot be removed and reinstalled similar to acoustical ceilings. Please clarify and/or provide details/notes if the intent is to replace the ceiling with acoustical ceilings as this may affect other trades, i.e. ceilings, fire protection, HVAC and electrical.

Metal pan ceilings can and shall be restored at end of every day.

105. I am trying to assist with finding information on a project and am new to seeking out VA work. The project I was asked to locate information on was referred to as VA Zablocki Endocsopy Lab Renovation. I was told the bid date is 11/30/20. The closest thing I have found on the FBO.gov site is this one but the date is different. Are they the same, but with a bid date extension? If not, can you help me learn how to find the one they want to know about? Z2DA—Renovate 7AN for GI/GU and Procedure Clinic Project #695-19-107 Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI. Thank you for your assistance. I was not sure where else to turn.

Yes, that is the correct project. We are now posting contracting opportunities to beta.SAM.gov (see link below). FBO was migrated to beta.SAM a while ago. On the homepage of beta.SAM, you will see ‘Contract Opportunities (FBO)’. Under that it says ‘Search Contract Opportunities’. Click that link. Should be easy to find from there. If you enter the solicitation number, or project number into the search box, it brings up two links for the project. The first is the Pre-Solicitation notice and the second is the Solicitation. Click the link for the solicitation and that’s where you will find the Solicitation with any Amendments. The Solicitation Amendment 0002 does indicate the bids are due on November 30, 2020 at 12:00pm (noon).

106. Who do I need to send information to that specifies about one of our products that was voted The Most Innovative product this year at the World of Concrete?

Recommend sending the information to the SDVOSB firms.

107. Please confirm Skytron equipment and steel supports are Vendor Supplied and Vendor Installed. I do not see any reference marks to Skytron on QH101.

All materials will be provided by VA (through separate contract with Skytron). General Contractor will be responsible for structural installation. Please see VA’s response to RFI’s #40 and #44 on Amendment 0002.

108. Would you happen to know who is bidding for this project next week? I’d like to provide our MedGas quote to contractors who are bidding.

Please review the site-visit sign-in sheet posted with Amendment 0001 on October 30, 2020.
