About this file

This is a sample work schedule document for Mechanical Street Sweeping Services prepared by Precision Sweeping Services in support of a procurement opportunity with the State of Arizona Department of Transportation for the Phoenix Metropolitan Area, covering Maricopa County and Phoenix City. The document outlines a structured operational approach divided into two alternating routes—Route A covering weekly sweeping and monthly locations, and Route B including both weekly and bi-weekly locations—designed to ensure consistent coverage across all curb miles within the full scope of work. The schedule operates on a five-day cycle with nightly assignments that separate equipment deployment into key service areas. Each shift includes detailed routing sheets for sweeper operators and large debris crews, which operators complete during their shifts and submit to an on-site inspector at the end of each day. An on-site Supervisor assigned to the contract maintains operational integrity by assigning routes nightly, monitoring operator compliance with designated paths, and making necessary adjustments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

The sample work schedule demonstrates the bidder's operational methodology and management capabilities for executing large-scale municipal street sweeping services. This document serves as evidence of the contractor's ability to maintain organized, systematic operations across multiple routes while ensuring accountability through documented daily submissions and supervisory oversight. The document does not contain pricing information, set-aside designations, incumbent contractor details, funding sources, or specific contract term information.

Sample Work Schedule

Precision Sweeping Services has built a sample work schedule to ensure that all sweeping tasks are carried out accurately and consistently. This sample is a brief look at how every curb mile in the full scope of work will be structured.

In order to manage operations effectively, the schedule is divided into two alternating routes:

• Route A - Covers weekly sweeping and monthly locations.

• Route B - Includes both weekly and bi-weekly locations.

This alternating structure ensures proper coverage while maintaining a steady workflow. Both routes also separate the equipment into the key areas of service for those nights.

The top page of the sample schedule provides a summary of one night's work out of a five-day schedule, while the following pages serve as detailed routing sheets for sweeper operators and large debris crews. These sheets act as a nightly guide, outlining specific assignments and expectations. Each operator will complete their forms during their shift, and all finished sheets will be compiled and submitted to the inspector at the end of the shift.

The on-site Supervisor assigned to this contract will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the schedule. They will be responsible for assigning routes each night, ensuring that all operators are following their designated paths and that adjustments are made when necessary. This level of oversight guarantees smooth operations and effective communication.
