About this file

This is an equipment list submission document from Offsite Sweeping LLC for a Mechanical Street Sweeping Services contract (Solicitation No. BPM006937) with the Arizona Department of Transportation for the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. The equipment list details all current and planned equipment to be utilized for street sweeping operations throughout the service routes. The contractor proposes to deploy 2-4 new Model Year 2026 Nescon X-Broom street sweepers upon contract award as cash purchases, supplemented by an existing fleet of street sweepers including multiple Schwarze Avalanche models, Elgin Broombear units, and additional Nescon X-Broom equipment ranging in model years from 2006 to 2023. The fleet also includes large debris collection trucks comprising Ford F650 models, International dump trucks, Chevrolet and Isuzu vehicles, and specialized equipment including crash protection attenuator trailers and supervisor and service trucks. The contractor indicates that equipment at their shop, including Gannon tractors, forklifts, arrow boards, and in-house metal fabrication capabilities, will support staging, servicing, and maintenance operations.

The equipment inventory demonstrates the contractor's preparedness to manage the demanding operational requirements of mechanical street sweeping in Phoenix's hot and dry climate, with planned equipment purchases designed to maintain continuous fleet availability and accommodate expected maintenance and breakdowns. All listed equipment is owned by Offsite Sweeping LLC with acquisition dates ranging from 2015 to 2025, with the exception of new equipment to be purchased upon contract award. The contractor emphasizes their capacity to convert flatbed trucks into large debris collection vehicles and maintain mobile water refill and hopper dump stations, ensuring sustained operational capability across assigned routes without service interruption.

EQUIPMENT LIST AND SHORTAGES

The attached equipment list includes all current and (to be purchased upon award) equipment that is available for use to service this contract to perform the routes.

Equipment at our shop will also be used, that includes Gannon tractors, forklifts, arrow boards, and other equipment used to stage, service, and maintain all of the equipment necessary to accomplish the requirements of this contract.

Highway sweeping is an extremely grueling task, especially in the hot and dry climate of Phoenix, Arizona. We expect there to be breakdowns of equipment along with maintenance that will require constant upkeep. We believe that with our current available equipment list along with adding multiple Model year 2025 Nescon X-Brooms to our fleet, we will stay ahead of the upkeep and in the process always have enough functional street sweepers to accomplish the work required.

The Large debris trucks take a beating as well, as they are glorified garbage trucks constantly supporting the sweeper loads along with the large debris collected by their operators. We believe that we have sufficient quantity of functional large debris trucks and are always adding to the fleet when the need presents itself. Our in-house metal fabrication shop allows us to easily convert flatbed trucks into large debris collection vehicles able to support the routes with a mobile water refill and hopper dump station.
