About this file

Equipment Maintenance Scope of Work for Mechanical Street Sweeping Services - Arizona Department of Transportation

This document outlines the equipment maintenance requirements for MGM Sweeping's mechanical street sweeping services contract with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) for the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. The scope requires all sweepers to be serviced by MGM Sweeping mechanics, with daily Vehicle Condition Reports (VCR) mandatory for pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Mechanics will review VCRs daily and complete repairs before the next scheduled sweep, or provide backup sweepers if repairs cannot be completed in time. Monthly inspections will be conducted to ensure all equipment meets ADOT compliance standards. MGM Sweeping must maintain a full-service shop equipped with two mobile service trucks stocked with necessary tools, parts, hoses, belts, and lubricants for on-site repairs. The contractor must provide 24-hour on-call tire service for on-site blowout repairs or replacements and maintain backup sweepers available for immediate deployment when parts are unavailable for same-day repairs.

The maintenance requirements establish a comprehensive service model designed to maximize equipment availability and operational reliability throughout the contract term. By combining daily inspections, monthly compliance reviews, mobile repair capabilities, and emergency tire service with backup equipment availability, MGM Sweeping commits to minimizing downtime and ensuring consistent service delivery across the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. These maintenance protocols directly support ADOT's operational requirements and reflect the contractor's capacity to sustain municipal-scale street sweeping operations with minimal service interruptions.

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE

All sweepers will be serviced by MGM Sweeping mechanics. A daily VCR will be required to be completed for Pre- Trip and Post-Trip. The mechanics will review the VCR’s daily and repair any issues reported before the next scheduled sweep. If the repair cannot be completed before the next scheduled sweep a backup sweeper will be scheduled.

In addition to the daily VCR’s, monthly inspections will be performed by the mechanics to ensure the equipment is ADOT compliant.

In addition to a full-service shop, MGM Sweeping has 2 shop service trucks that will be stocked with all necessary tools, parts, hoses, belts and lubricants to perform service calls for onsite repairs if necessary.

MGM Sweeping will have an “ON-CALL” 24-hour tire service that will repair or replace tires on-site for blowouts.

MGM Sweeping will have “backup” sweepers that will be ready and available for service in the case parts are not available to fix the issue in the same day.
