AFMC Phase 1

Security Gate Trailer Requirements

Comm Requirements for the USAF Security Forces Trailer:

- There should be a dedicated 20 amp 120V duplex receptacle within the closet. On the 5 ft wall there should be a 4 by 8 sheet of 3/4 inch fire rated plywood installed with a vertical, wall-enclosure, 7"D x 26"W x 40"H (Holocom Type - OCC) mounted on the plywood. This enclosure has a place to hang a Cisco switch and install a 24 port copper patch panel and a small fiber optic distribution panel. The patch panel is for the copper drops to the desktops/phones and base access server. The FODP is for the base single mode fiber being installed. The construction contractor should also mount a 66 phone block next to the enclosure to terminate the copper phone cables.

Military Dog Housing Requirements:

- Space to be provided in temporary trailer

- Must have HVAC

- Temporary water connection

Gate Operation Requirements:

- Drivers will have DBIDs access

- No background checks

- Vehicles to be inspected

- No reinspection for forklifts or cranes going through the gates

- Vehicles to be inspected once. Reinspected when they leave.

- Will have entrapment area.

- There will be no prior inspection at Gate 26A.

- Overhead cover on inspection area - not as such, but an inspection cover - so that driver's don’t see the inspection procedures is needed

- Need electrical connections to gate house – for temp heaters/ air cooling

Operational Conditions for the Security Gate:

- The entry gate will be manned full-time during gate operation hours.

- The entry gate will also include an able-body man-gate for inspection personnel. Using the existing turnstile is not viable.

- The entry gate is wide enough for pedestrian contractors to use, but SFS may wish to have a man-gate added so the gate won’t have to be opened for each entering contractor.

- The entry gate will be wide enough for two-way traffic to enter and exit using the same route, but if construction activity permits, exiting via T-Road and out Gate 12 onto Route 444 may be preferred to simplify movements through the gate.

- The contractor laydown area entry gates will not require inspection, and the contractor is responsible for vehicles entering that area.

Security Trailer Requirements:

- Windows will need to be included on each side of the door

- Dog Kennel to be installed inside the trailer

- 2 Chairs Needed with 2 tables

- 2 Niper Connections

- Frig (Small) and Microwave needs provided

- 2 phone lines need installed

- 1 disress button needs installed and sends signal back to Sec Forces Command Center (Linx

Predator System)

- Man door needs installed on the west side of the fence with a key pad for access into the entrapment area

- Control Device is needed to open and close both gates of the entrapment area

- Control Buttons need to be installed in the trailer that are tied into Security Forces command center
