About this file
This memorandum establishes a standing operating procedure for Fort Bragg dining facilities regarding dissatisfied food products and subsistence vendor contract discrepancy reports. When an item is determined to be dissatisfied, personnel must complete a DA Form 7589 and forward it to the Subsistence Supply Manager and Installation Food Management Office within 24 hours. Issues that warrant a report include foods that are no longer wholesome or fit for intended use, no longer desired, or not in compliance with requirements. The procedure outlines the steps for determining if an isolated issue or a replacement item is needed, contacting the prime vendor for a replacement within 24 hours when applicable, and timely reporting of any discrepancies due to the short shelf life of ordered subsistence items. The point of contact is provided as the Installation Food Program Manager.
This federal contract opportunity notice announces the issuance of solicitation W9124J-18-R-0025 for full food services at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The requirement is set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 722310 for food service contractors with a size standard of $38.5 million. The solicitation and any amendments will be posted on FBO.gov. Questions regarding the solicitation are due by April 15th and should be sent to the listed points of contact. The Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Fort Sam Houston is procuring these services on behalf of the Fort Bragg Logistics Readiness Center and U.S. Army Fort Bragg.

a. When a product is determined to be dissatisfied it needs to be addressed with a Subsistence Vendor Contract Discrepancy Report (SVCDR), DA Form 7589 and forwarded to the SSM and Installation Food Management Office (IFMO). b. The SSM in conjunction with the IFMO will determine if this is an isolated dissatisfied item or if there is justification to research for a replacement item. The IFPM or the SSM will contact the prime vendor and request for a replacement item within 24 hours when applicable.
