site design work to be completed for this proposal.

3.8.1. Provide record of existing conditions prior to beginning work.

3.9. Notification Prior to Excavation: Notification shall be minimum 30 days prior to the planned excavation to allow processing. The Contractor shall submit Form 144, BCE Work Request (Dig Permit), and obtain approval prior to excavation. The government and local utilities shall mark out known existing underground utilities in the work area. The marked location of the existing utilities is approximate.

Excavation by power driven equipment is not permitted within three (3) feet of either side of the marked utility. Hand excavate on each side of the indicated obstruction and continue until uncovered or clearance for the new grade is assured.

3.10. Report damage to underground utilities or subsurface construction immediately to the Contracting Officer. Damage to marked utilities shall be satisfactorily repaired or replaced by the Contractor at no additional cost to the government. Damage to unmarked utilities shall be repaired or replaced by the Contractor and be subject to measures as approved by the Contracting Officer.an equitable adjustment in the contract amount.

the 4ft gravel bed area (see item 9 below), which will be placed from the face of the new concrete slab. Grass shall be established (minimum of 144 sprigs/sf) prior to finalizing the project. Seeding and mulching shall only be required where there is no interference with existing tree cover which would preclude the growth of grass.

8. The site shall be graded in accordance with the approved grading plan (which is requested in item 1 as a submittal) and such that positive drainage is achieved away from the building slab and new concrete paving and existing building. If any fill material is needed to achieve finished grade, the contractor shall utilize an on-site borrow area (if available). If no on-site soils are available, the contractor may utilize the nearest Fort Benning borrow pit provided that the use of said pit is requested in writing by the contractor and approved by TIYA the post O and M contractor.

9. All structural areas shall be compacted to 98% of the standard proctor, which shall be performed by a materials testing laboratory.
