About this file
This is a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) Area of Interest (AoI) announcement issued by the Army Contracting Command-Red River Army Depot (ACC-RRAD) for the procurement of two micro trucks. The AoI number is W911RQ-26-S-C001-A012, released on 25 June 2026, with responses due by 4:00 P.M. CDT on 28 August 2026. The government seeks innovative solutions—defined as new technology, processes, methods, or new applications of existing technology as of the proposal submission date—to address logistics and material transport challenges at Red River Army Depot. Current operations are hindered by aging, inadequate, or oversized vehicles that create bottlenecks, excessive manual labor, and unnecessary wear on inappropriate assets.
The solicitation specifies a minimum of two Micro Trucks, with a Suzuki Carry DA16T or equivalent as the baseline. Required specifications include a 660CC liquid-cooled 3-cylinder gasoline engine; 5-speed manual or CVT transmission with optional 4WD; fully boxed steel ladder frame with multi-stage anti-corrosion coatings; dimensions of minimum 130" length, 56" width, and 65-78" height; wheelbase of 73-75"; curb weight of 1,975 lbs or lower; payload capacity of 775 lbs or greater; 8+ gallon fuel tank; high-strength steel cargo bed with fold-down sides (78" x 55" max); 12V electrical system with LED or halogen lighting; two-seat cabover configuration with AC and heater; ISO automotive manufacturing standards; and an expected service life of 150,000 to 250,000 miles. Responses must be submitted via email to usarmy.rrad.acc.mbx.cso@army.mil with subject line "INNOVATIVE SOLUTION." Selected companies must be registered in the System for Award Maintenance (sam.gov). The government is not obligated to award or extend an RFP, and awards are subject to fund availability and successful negotiations.

Federal Agency: Army Office: Army Contracting Command-Red River Army Depot (ACC-RRAD) AoI Title: Micro Trucks, 2 EA CSO AoI Number: W911RQ-26-S-C001-A012 AoI Release Date: 25 June 2026 Responses: See CSO W911RQ-26-S-C001 for Procedure Details
1. General Information
1.1 Introduction
This announcement is for innovative solutions for the Micro Trucks Area of Interest (AoI) under the ACC-RRAD Commercial Solutions Opening W911RQ-26-S-C001.
Interested parties are highly encouraged to visit the Government Point of Entry (www.sam.gov) to review the ACC-RRAD CSO special posting in its entirety to obtain more information on the process for submission evaluation of the CSO AoI Responses.
This CSO AoI seeks to solicit innovative solutions that meet the objectives detailed in Sections 1.2 and 1.3. The term innovative is defined as any technology, process, or method, including research and development that is new as of the date of proposal submission; or any new application of an existing technology, process or method as of the proposal date.
ACC-RRAD is not obligated to extend a request for proposal or make an award as a result of this CSO AoI; all awards are subject to the availability of funds and successful negotiations. This CSO AoI is not an authorization to begin performance, and in no way obligates the Government for any costs incurred by the Offeror associated with developing a Response. Prior to commencement of any activities associated with performance under this CSO AoI, the Government will issue a written directive or contractual document signed by the Contracting Officer with appropriate consideration established. ACC-RRAD reserves the right to modify the requirements of this CSO AoI.
The authority to issue this CSO AoI is derived from ACC-RRAD Commercial Solutions Opening W911RQ-26-S-C001, dated 01 OCT 2025. The CSO authority is DoD Class Deviation 2022-O0007.
1.2 AoI Background
The RRAD Equipment Division and Heavy Tactical Division currently require reliable, highly maneuverable utility vehicles to support daily logistics and maintenance operations;
however, existing transport capabilities are either aging, inadequate, or failing to meet the specific demands of the facility. The lack of appropriately sized utility transport has hindered the consistent movement of personnel and necessary materials. As a direct consequence, we experience frequent logistical bottlenecks that necessitate manual transport of equipment or the use of oversized, inefficient vehicles. This not only leads to significant operational inefficiencies but also results in excessive labor time and unnecessary wear on inappropriate assets, which impacts our overall productivity and increases operational costs. Addressing these localized transportation challenges is critical to enhancing our logistical capabilities and ensuring the effective utilization of personnel and resources across both divisions.
1.3 Micro Truck Capabilities
RRAD is interested in a commercial solution offering “CSO” for the procurement of Micro Trucks that will improve upon current localized transport and logistics processes. Current facility transport operations are hindered by aging, inadequate, or oversized vehicles that struggle to navigate specific areas, resulting in logistical bottlenecks, excessive manual labor, and unnecessary wear on inappropriate assets. RRAD is looking to improve/integrate this process to enhance our safety, capabilities, and capacity to reduce maintenance and operating costs involved with the current material routing process.
We are looking for highly maneuverable utility capabilities that convert inefficient manual transport processes into streamlined, enclosed vehicle operations capable of handling heavy payloads in tight industrial environments.
At a minimum, RRAD is requesting two (2) Micro Trucks (Suzuki Carry DA16T or Equal) to complete the required transport operations for the Equipment Division and Heavy Tactical Division as described:
Powertrain Engine – Liquid cooled 660CC, 3 cylinder, DOHC, EFI gasoline that meets global small-displacement automotive standards.
Color Orange preferred (white acceptable)
Transmission & Driveline Transmission – 5 Speed manual or CVT transmission Drive – 2wd (standard) or selectable 4WD Differential Lock – Desired not required
Chassis & Suspension Frame – fully boxed steel ladder frame Corrosion Protection – multi-stage anti-corrosion coatings Suspension – front independent strut, rear leaf spring/solid axle or if rear mounted engine independent shocks and coil springs Brakes – front solid discs with rear drums or if rear mounted engine solid discs Steering – rack and pinion with power steering desired not required
Dimensions & Capacities Length – 130”min Width – 56” min Height – 65” min and 78” max
