About this file
This is a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) Area of Interest (AoI) announcement from the Army Contracting Command-Red River Army Depot (ACC-RRAD) soliciting innovative solutions for upgrading their media blasting booth capability. The AoI number is W911RQ-26-S-C001-A006, released on December 11, 2025, with responses due by February 19, 2026 at 5:00 P.M. CDT. Red River Army Depot currently operates a non-functional blast booth in Building 364 with a malfunctioning Clemco recovery system that cannot consistently recycle spent blasting media back into primary storage hoppers and tanks. This system failure causes frequent operational halts, excessive manual labor for media cleanup, unnecessary waste, and increased operational costs.
ACC-RRAD seeks a turnkey installation of an auger and elevator system to upgrade the existing blast booth structure and restore automated media recycling capabilities. The upgrade is intended to significantly reduce operational downtime, enable continuous and efficient blasting operations, minimize manual labor requirements, and reallocate personnel resources to other critical tasks. Interested vendors must submit written solutions via email to usarmy.rrad.acc.mbx.cso@army.mil with the subject line "INNOVATIVE SOLUTION" by the February 19, 2026 deadline. All selected companies must be registered in the System for Award Maintenance (sam.gov). The Government is not obligated to extend a request for proposal or make an award, and this announcement does not authorize offerors to begin performance or incur costs. Points of contact for questions are Christopher L. Johnston (Contracting Officer) and Jacob J. Horn (CSO AoI POC).

1.2 AoI Background
The RRAD Directorate of Maintenance currently possesses a blast booth located in building 364;
however, this booth is not operational at present due to the malfunctioning Clemco recovery system. This system has been unable to consistently recover, and cycle spent blasting media back into the primary storage hoppers and tanks for reuse. As a direct consequence, we experience frequent system halts that necessitate manual media replenishment. This not only leads to significant operational inefficiencies but also results in excessive labor time spent clearing the floor of spent media. Furthermore, the inability to effectively reclaim and recycle media contributes to unnecessary waste, which impacts our overall productivity and increases operational costs. Addressing these challenges is critical to enhancing our maintenance capabilities and ensuring the effective utilization of resources.
1.3 Media Blasting Capabilities
Considering these operational challenges, RRAD is keenly interested in upgrading the existing blast booth structure by installing an auger and elevator system. This enhancement aims to significantly improve the media reclamation process by restoring automated media recycling capabilities. By implementing this upgrade, we anticipate a substantial reduction in operational downtime, allowing for more continuous and efficient blasting operations. Additionally, this modernization will minimize the manual labor currently required for media recovery, thereby reallocating valuable personnel resources to other critical tasks. Our goal is to create a streamlined, automated system that not only enhances productivity but also aligns with our commitment to operational excellence and resource sustainability. RRAD is seeking a turnkey installment for this AoI.
2. AoI Constraints
