About this file

This document is a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) Area of Interest (AoI) for Track Pin and Bushing Manufacturing issued by Army Contracting Command-Red River Army Depot (ACC-RRAD). The AoI seeks innovative manufacturing solutions for producing track pins and bushings for military tracked vehicles, with specific technical requirements including metal pin fabrication and rubber bushing fabrication standards. The targeted production quantities are approximately 170K pins for T-161, 70K pins for T-107, and 60K pins for T-158, with detailed specifications covering dimensional tolerances, material properties, quality inspections, and compliance with multiple military and industry standards.

Submission requirements include a written solution brief to be emailed by 5:00 PM CDT on 30 Nov 2025 to specified government contacts. Potential vendors must be registered in sam.gov and can produce pins with outer diameters ranging from 1.1" to 1.5" and lengths from 12" to 28". The manufacturing facility will have approximately 25,000 indoor and 10,000 outdoor square feet available for production and storage. The CSO is authorized under Section 803 of the National Defense Authorization Act for FY2022 and is part of a broader Army Organic Industrial Base (OIB) Modernization effort to enhance advanced manufacturing capabilities.

1.2 AoI Background

Red River Army Depot (RRAD) Rubber Products Division has a need for the design, manufacture, installation, and integration of a tracked military vehicle track pin and bushing manufacturing process (see Fig 1 Below).

Figure 1 – Track Pin and Bushing Examples

1.3 Fully Developed Track Pin and Bushing Manufacturing Process RRAD is interested in a Commercial Solutions Offerings (CSO) for the design, manufacture, and installation of a tracked military vehicle track pin and bushing manufacturing process. We are looking for advanced manufacturing capabilities to develop a new process at RRAD to allow the capability of producing quality track pins and their bushings organically at this facility.

At a minimum RRAD is requesting that a new track pin/bushing process be able to produce pins and bushings to the specifications listed in the drawings.
