Federal Agency: Army Office: Army Contracting Command-Red River Army Depot (ACC-RRAD) AoI Title: Micro Trucks, 2 EA CSO AoI Number: W911RQ-26-S-C001-A012 AoI Release Date: 25 June 2026 Responses: See CSO W911RQ-26-S-C001 for Procedure Details
1. General Information
1.1 Introduction
This announcement is for innovative solutions for the Micro Trucks Area of Interest (AoI) under the ACC-RRAD Commercial Solutions Opening W911RQ-26-S-C001.
Interested parties are highly encouraged to visit the Government Point of Entry (www.sam.gov) to review the ACC-RRAD CSO special posting in its entirety to obtain more information on the process for submission evaluation of the CSO AoI Responses.
This CSO AoI seeks to solicit innovative solutions that meet the objectives detailed in Sections 1.2 and 1.3. The term innovative is defined as any technology, process, or method, including research and development that is new as of the date of proposal submission; or any new application of an existing technology, process or method as of the proposal date.
ACC-RRAD is not obligated to extend a request for proposal or make an award as a result of this CSO AoI; all awards are subject to the availability of funds and successful negotiations. This CSO AoI is not an authorization to begin performance, and in no way obligates the Government for any costs incurred by the Offeror associated with developing a Response. Prior to commencement of any activities associated with performance under this CSO AoI, the Government will issue a written directive or contractual document signed by the Contracting Officer with appropriate consideration established. ACC-RRAD reserves the right to modify the requirements of this CSO AoI.
The authority to issue this CSO AoI is derived from ACC-RRAD Commercial Solutions Opening W911RQ-26-S-C001, dated 01 OCT 2025. The CSO authority is DoD Class Deviation 2022-O0007.
1.2 AoI Background
The RRAD Equipment Division and Heavy Tactical Division currently require reliable, highly maneuverable utility vehicles to support daily logistics and maintenance operations;
however, existing transport capabilities are either aging, inadequate, or failing to meet the specific demands of the facility. The lack of appropriately sized utility transport has hindered the consistent movement of personnel and necessary materials. As a direct consequence, we experience frequent logistical bottlenecks that necessitate manual transport of equipment or the use of oversized, inefficient vehicles. This not only leads to significant operational inefficiencies but also results in excessive labor time and unnecessary wear on inappropriate assets, which impacts our overall productivity and increases operational costs. Addressing these localized transportation challenges is critical to enhancing our logistical capabilities and ensuring the effective utilization of personnel and resources across both divisions.
1.3 Micro Truck Capabilities
RRAD is interested in a commercial solution offering “CSO” for the procurement of Micro Trucks that will improve upon current localized transport and logistics processes. Current facility transport operations are hindered by aging, inadequate, or oversized vehicles that struggle to navigate specific areas, resulting in logistical bottlenecks, excessive manual labor, and unnecessary wear on inappropriate assets. RRAD is looking to improve/integrate this process to enhance our safety, capabilities, and capacity to reduce maintenance and operating costs involved with the current material routing process.
We are looking for highly maneuverable utility capabilities that convert inefficient manual transport processes into streamlined, enclosed vehicle operations capable of handling heavy payloads in tight industrial environments.
At a minimum, RRAD is requesting two (2) Micro Trucks (Suzuki Carry DA16T or Equal) to complete the required transport operations for the Equipment Division and Heavy Tactical Division as described:
- Operate within tight facility constraints with a length of 130” min to 133” max, width of 56” min to 58” max, and height of 65” min to 70” max.
- Provide a wheelbase of 73” min to 75” max and a ground clearance of 6” to 8”.
- Haul a payload of 775 lbs or greater while maintaining a curb weight of 1875 lbs or lower.
- Feature a high-strength steel flat deck cargo bed with fold-down sides (Dimensions:
78” max x 55” max).
- Provide a two-seating cab-over configuration only, with front wheels positioned below the operator seat (not below or adjacent to operator pedals).
- Provide environmental control through a required HVAC system (AC and heater).
- Operate on a 12V standard ISO/JIS automotive grade electrical system with sealed, weather-resistant wiring harnesses and couplers.
- Provide visibility and signaling through halogen or LED headlights, full signal and brake lighting (amber or red), and an analog or digital instrumentation cluster.
The following system requirements must also be met:
- Must be powered by a Liquid cooled 660CC, 4 cylinder, DOHC, EFI gasoline engine that meets global small-displacement automotive standards.
- Vehicle exterior color shall be White.
- Transmission shall be a 5 Speed manual or 3 or 4 speed w/ overdrive.
- Drive shall be 2WD (standard) or selectable 4WD (Differential Lock is desired, not required).
- Chassis must feature a fully boxed steel ladder frame with multi-stage anti-corrosion coatings.
- Suspension shall consist of a front independent strut and rear leaf spring/solid axle (or if rear-mounted engine: independent shocks and coil springs).
- Brakes must be front ventilated discs with rear drums (or if rear-mounted engine:
ventilated discs).
- Steering shall be rack and pinion (power steering is desired, not required).
- Fuel tank capacity must be 9 gallons or greater.
- Must be built to JIS/ISO automotive manufacturing requirements.
- Safety features must include 3-point seatbelts, a reinforced cab, laminated windshield, side impact beams, and driver and passenger side airbags.
The vehicles must be capable of providing reliable, continuous logistics support with an expected service life of 150,000 to 250,000 miles with routine maintenance. The system must feature easy access to maintenance service points and be supported by an extensive global supply network or parts providers to ensure minimal downtime and continuous operational readiness.
2. AoI Constraints
