Section 1-1
1.1. Expectations
1.1.1. Mission. The 71st Flying Training Wing’s (FTW) mission is to perform Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training (SUPT) at Vance AFB, OK. The 71 FTW annually trains over 400 U.S. military and allied student pilots for worldwide deployment and Air Expeditionary Forces (AEF) support.
1.2. Goals and Objectives
1.2.1. Provide exceptional Flight Operation Support (FOS) service to support the world-class flying training of the 71 FTW.
1.2.1.1. Conduct safe, efficient, and effective FOS service for the 71 FTW’s SUPT mission.
1.2.1.2. Provide required mission capable aircraft for pilot production at required levels to accomplish mission requirements.
1.2.1.3. Keep the 71 FTW’s aircraft, equipment and facilities within contractual and published standards at all times.
1.2.2. Meet all contract standards within the Service Provider’s (SP) control.
1.2.2.1. Promote and sustain a non- adversarial government and SP relationship.
1.2.2.2. Provide exceptional quality assurance over all contract requirements and standards.
1.2.2.3. Provide fully qualified FOS personnel.
1.2.3. Meet or exceed all local, state, and federal environmental standards.
1.2.3.1. Zero environmental Notices of Violation.
1.2.4. Preserve 71 FTW resources through a proactive safety program.
1.2.4.1. Integrate risk management in all operational decisions.
1.2.4.1.1. Zero FOS casual mishaps.
1.2.4.1.2. Minimize overall ground safety mishaps by complying with Air Force and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
