About this file

This document is Appendix I of a Statement of Work specification for SLAC Master Substation Medium Voltage Switchgear (CUIR-PTS-0071), containing technical data submittal requirements organized in three detailed tables across three phases of development.

The specification establishes requirements for three switchgear systems: 1) Bus 8 & 9 Main Breaker and RPC Switchgear, 2) Bus 8 Switchgear, and 3) Bus 9 Switchgear. Each system must operate at 12.47kV nominal voltage, 60 Hz, three-phase with continuous currents ranging from 1200A to 3000A depending on specific equipment identifiers. All switchgear must comply with IEEE C37.20.2 standard, feature NEMA 12 enclosure class, and maintain 95kV basic impulse level. The specifications include dimensions (full switchgear at 324W x 130H x 92D inches), 35-year useful life, and 125 VDC control voltage. Current transformers are specified with solid core type per IEEE C57.13, featuring transformation ratios from 50/5 to 5000/5 MR and C20-C200 accuracy classes. Voltage transformers require IEEE C57.13 compliance with 7200/120 transformation ratios. Each system requires Circuit Breaker Remote Operating Panel (CBROP) equipment including control switches, indicating lights, SEL-series relays, and test switch blocks. Notable exceptions taken by ABB include NEMA 12 enclosure class for CBROP and Ethernet gateway/switch components, though FGC can provide alternative solutions through extended procurement (EP2). Comprehensive testing requirements mandate routine and design tests per IEEE C37.20.2, short circuit testing evidence, seismic testing evidence, and routine tests for all components per applicable standards. Suppliers must submit technical data in three phases: with proposal, prior to Release for Manufacturing (RFM), and prior to Release for Shipping (RFS), with corresponding columns for proposal data, RFM data, and RFS data indicating conformance or explanations of changes.
