About this file

This document is a Task Assignment Change Order (TACO 3) between the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and Environmental Consulting and Technology, Inc. (ECT), for site assessment services at Classic Cleaners of Ocala. The change order amends the original task assignment DC024A under Contract HW682, with Benjamin Aoki serving as FDEP's project manager and Dirk Mammen representing ECT. The project, identified as ERIC_4905, involves environmental assessment and remediation work at the contaminated dry cleaning facility in Ocala, Florida.

TACO 3 reduces the total task assignment value from $138,026.84 to $122,780.71, a decrease of $15,246.13, primarily due to reduced sampling requirements in Subtask 4 (Well Installation & Groundwater Sampling). The amended fixed unit rate cost is $122,780.71, with a completion date of February 27, 2026. The deliverables include email reports for Health and Safety Plan clearance, soil field notes, well installation documentation, MAGS testing results, professional land surveys, and a final Site Assessment Report due by December 19, 2025. The invoice schedule specifies payment upon FDEP approval of individual subtask deliverables, with subtask costs ranging from $3,481.01 to $46,973.79. The change order reflects actual labor hours (257.3 total) and subcontractor costs associated with drilling services, professional surveying, and waste disposal management.

Karlee:

Here is TACO 3 with actual costs for ST4, as promised (0.03 rounding error).

Let me know if you have any questions or need anything further for invoicing ST4.

We should probably look at whether we need another mobilization for additional work.

The property behind the dry cleaner has not provided written access yet, because they balked at a permanent well. They might be amenable to a couple of DPT sampling locations instead. And for the property north, which seems to be the direction that the contamination is moving (and we already have access), we might need additional work done there.

Also, should a notice of off-site contamination be prepared for this site?

Thank you, Dan. I’ll keep an eye out for the TACO. Could you please send me the lab reports associated with ST3 & ST4?

Thanks!

Karlee:

Here is the ST4 deliverable, due by September 1, 2025.

I will follow it up with a TACO to update ST4 to actual SOW/costs.

Let me know if you have any questions.
