◦ Grant expires in August 2023
• Construction is anticipated for January 2022
• Project Components:
◦ Survey
◦ Geotech
◦ Lead & Asbestos Testing (demolishing existing building)
◦ Replace the existing building with a prefabricated structure
▪ New pre-fab to match existing with 2 bay doors on front and 2 bay doors on the back generally replicating existing building.
▪ New kayak cover to be added (Prefabricated) similar to existing conditions
▪ Flood proofing likely required.
• Site is AE 7
• Lidar was obtained and the existing ground elevation ranges between 2.5’- 4.5’ NAVD
▪ New building to contain 4000 pound chain hoist mounted to a track running from front to back
▪ Existing boat lift in front of the existing building to remain
▪ Building location will be behind the existing building.
• TBD based on existing grade and FEMA requirements
May 24, 2021 - Rev 2 - 08/11/2021 Mr Richard Rowe Rookery Bay Preserve - Maintenance Bldg. Replacements
▪ New building to have an eye wash station and sink if it does not require additional treatment
• Water service to be capped
• 500gal existing water tank is located at the adjacent building with
RO plant that feeds the water service
• 220 electric is available under existing conditions
• Project Permitting:
◦ Project is landward of CCCL, no CCCL permit required
◦ SFWMD Verification of Exemption
◦ Collier County: Insubstantial Change to a Site Development Plan and Special
Treatment Permit
• Building Comments:
◦ No bathroom.
◦ No Fire Sprinklers because building is less than 5000 sf
◦ Existing 2,500SF building to be demolished
• A separate project by others will be completed in the area with (2) 10’x15’ sheds
• Existing building has 2 bay doors on front and 2 bay doors on back. New building to match.
◦ Replace existing kayak cover (overhang on side)
