About this file
This document is a monthly facility inspection checklist for the SBIWTP (2026 Edition) Facility Security Plan, specifically Annex D. It is a template used to conduct and document routine security inspections of a facility's physical infrastructure and access controls.
The checklist comprises thirteen inspection categories with multiple standards within each category. Fence inspections verify 5-foot clear zones, good condition, proper fabric tension, absence of holes, minimal spacing underneath, and no gaps exceeding 5 inches. Gates must be operational with secure hinges and integrated locking devices. Windows require intact frames and glass with secure bars, screens, and locks. Doors and locks must be in good repair with secure hardware and non-removable hinge pins. Lighting inspections confirm operational status, locked exterior switches, clean fixtures, and unobstructed light coverage. Yard areas require safe storage of materials, equipment, and tools with proper security of valuable scrap. The checklist mandates signage for no trespassing, hazards, security inspections, scrap bins, and special hazmat and visitor/customer entrance warnings. Company vehicles must be locked with keys secured in locked boxes, and side bins and cabinets must be locked. Key control standards require extra keys stored in locked boxes, padlocks locked to hasps when not in use, and adequate supplies for emergencies. Public entrances must identify visitor access with active visitor logs and escort requirements for non-badged visitors, plus contractor logs. Internal access controls require cleared desks of sensitive documents and locked mechanical, telephone, computer, electrical, parts, janitor, and server rooms with restricted authorization. Inventory and material control standards address proper hazardous material storage, tool engraving for identification, and theft-sensitive item tracking with descriptions and serial numbers. Surveillance system inspections verify good image quality and proper camera function. Each standard has corresponding fields for marking acceptability and documenting comments.
