Summarize the scope and deliverables provided, including timeline and outcome.
In 2011, LTS was awarded a contract by the Rhode Island Department of Administrative Services for providing foreign language translation and interpreting services on a statewide basis for all agencies of the State of Rhode
Island. Hence, we actively offered our services to different departments, such as the Department of Health, the
Department of Human Services, and the University of Rhode Island, until March 11, 2021. We re-submitted our bid proposal, and we got an approval notice on 3/25/2021 to restart the contract.
We primarily worked for them nonstop during days, evenings, and holidays in providing the translation, review, and desktop publishing of the Rhode Island Governor’s daily and weekly press releases, other public health notices, and other non-COVID-19 related documents from the time of the breakout of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 up to March 2021, in more than 15 languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, Cape Verdean
Creole, French, Hmong, Arabic, Chinese, Khmer, Lao, Haitian Creole, Kinyarwanda, and Swahili.
The total value of the completed projects up to December 2022 for different departments of the State is about
$180,000.00. Currently, the contract is ongoing.
