About this file
This document provides details on an Army solicitation for a Cold Weather All-Terrain Vehicle. The solicitation seeks a modified commercial articulated tracked vehicle capable of amphibious operations, extreme cold weather conditions down to -50 degrees Fahrenheit, and terrain typically found in Arctic environments. It must also be sling load transportable. The solicitation is for a follow-on seven-year Firm Fixed Price requirements contract under FAR Part 12 for production units, spare parts, and contractor logistics support resulting from a successful 10 U.S.C. 2371b prototype. The Army anticipates a single-award with five one-year ordering periods and two optional one-year periods. The first attachment provides specifications for an advanced metal working and machine shop set with CNC milling, lathing, plasma cutting, additive manufacturing, and various welding and cutting equipment capabilities.
