About this file
This document outlines the criteria and process for a Final Design Review of a Cold Weather All-Terrain Vehicle. The review will assess the design maturity and readiness of the vehicle to enter production. Key criteria include demonstrating the design meets requirements, identification of risks, completion of testing, and establishment of production plans. The contractor must present the finalized configuration design and changes from prototype testing. The government will determine if the review is complete and approves the contractor to begin production upon a successful review.
A related federal contract opportunity involves a solicitation for a follow-on production contract of the Cold Weather All-Terrain Vehicle. The Department of the Army Materiel Command seeks to award a single firm-fixed price requirements contract for five one-year ordering periods plus two optional one-year extensions. The contract will include production units, spare parts, and contractor logistics support with a total potential term of seven years.

Final Design Review (FDR) Checklist
Distribution Statement A – Approved for Public Release; distribution unlimited
1 PURPOSE
The purpose of the Final Design Review (FDR) is to formalize the product baseline, assess design maturity and evaluate risks. The FDR demonstrates that the system design is complete and ready for manufacturing. The contractor shall present the following:
• Their baseline configuration design
• All design changes incorporated in the product baseline from the production ready prototype configuration
• A detailed description of how the production vehicle meets the requirements in the Attachment 0001, CATV Performance Specification (P-spec), The FDR will also include a Production Readiness Review (C.3.2.2.).
1.1 COMPLETION OF CHECKLIST
This meeting serves as the decision point for the Government to allow the contractor to begin production of the CATV upon approval of the FDR.
The FDR shall be determined to be complete by the Government Technical Review Chair.
The FDR Exit Criteria Checklist will be considered completed when the items in the Checklist have been satisfactorily completed, key issues addressed, and there are no unresolved items.
