About this file
This is an Addendum #1 to Section 11452 (Appliances) of the specifications for Clay County Fire Station No. 24 construction project in Green Cove Springs, Florida. The addendum establishes requirements for eight types of residential appliances to be installed at the fire station: gas range, dishwasher, microwave, exhaust hood, icemaker, refrigerator, washer, and dryer. The General Contractor is responsible for providing and installing all appliances except the extractor, which will be furnished by the owner and installed by the contractor. All appliances must comply with applicable UL, NEMA, AGA, and ANSI standards and carry Federal Trade Commission energy rating labels. Contractors must submit product data for each appliance type, including compliance documentation and complete operating and maintenance instructions within 30 days of Notice to Proceed notification of delivery schedules. Appliances must be delivered in manufacturer's protective packaging only after utility rough-in and construction completion in receiving spaces. All appliances require manufacturer-executed written warranties covering materials and workmanship defects within specified warranty periods.
Installation must follow manufacturer instructions with proper clearances verified for operational safety. The contractor is responsible for unpacking appliances provided by the owner, scheduling installation, testing equipment for proper operation, verifying all accessories are furnished and installed, and leaving all units in clean condition ready for operation. Plumbing connections are specified in Division 22, and electrical services and connections are specified in Division 26 of the project specifications. The specific appliance models and brands are identified on the project drawings schedule referenced in Part 2 of this section.
