About this file
This is a contact procedures reminder document for the ROMO 326235 Rehabilitate Kawuneeche Visitor Center solicitation (140P2026R0057) issued by the Department of the Interior National Park Service. The document serves as a procedural guide rather than a substantive requirements document and does not contain specific information about products, services, pricing terms, response deadlines, or award details. As a reminder communication, it likely outlines guidelines for how prospective contractors should communicate with the government agency, submit inquiries, or coordinate with contracting officials regarding the renovation project at the Kawuneeche Visitor Center located in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. The document does not specify technical requirements, set-asides, contract vehicles, or other salient solicitation terms that would typically be found in the primary solicitation documents such as the RFP or SOW.

Reminder: Proper Contact Procedures for Kawuneeche Visitor Center (KVC) This is a reminder regarding the required communication and access procedures for the Kawuneeche Visitor Center (KVC) under Solicitation 140P2026R0057.
Per the solicitation and recent communications, all contractor inquiries must be directed only to the official contracting points of contact listed in the solicitation. Park staff, front‑desk personnel, project managers, and facility staff are not authorized to answer contractor questions, provide direction, or grant access to non‑public areas of the Visitor Center.
Please adhere to the following requirements:
1. Use only the contracting officer’s email listed in the solicitation for all questions, clarifications, or communications. (timothy_burger@ios.doi.gov and bruce_beck@ios.doi.gov)
2. Do not contact park staff directly — including front desk, rangers, or facility managers.
3. Do not arrive at the Visitor Center unannounced to view restricted ares. Access to the facility must be pre‑arranged, approved, and scheduled through the contracting office.
4. Do not request or expect staff to provide tours, photography access, or entry into non-public spaces.
5. Follow all instructions provided during official site visits. Additional site access will only be granted when coordinated properly through the contracting office. There is a coordinated site visit planned for Thursday, 8/20 from 11-1 MT.
Unexpected calls or visits to KVC staff have caused disruption and put employees in an inappropriate position. Please ensure your teams and subcontractors understand and follow these procedures.
If you have questions or require clarification, contact me directly at the information provided in the solicitation.
Thank you for your professionalism and cooperation.
Sincerely, Tim Burger Contracting Officer Department of the Interior
