1. Solicitation Number:
W91364-19-R-7009
2. Location of Project:
Mansfield Ohio ANG
3. Information Requested: (Include Specification Section and/or Drawing Number and Page if inquiring about a discrepancy)
1. Is wood blocking required at the gutter edge, roof edge? Example, see 2‐A516.
2. Regarding sheet A201, sheet note 12 says to extend metal siding down to Elevator, is this type of metal still available? Can the new metal panels used for the Elevator be used for this patch?
3. Are there any Plumbing demo sheets? It appears concrete floor removal and replacement will be needed per sheets P401, P402, and P403 for the new waste lines. Please advise.
4. Regarding sheet AD110 note B6, cut slab for trench drains, I don’t see these on the Plumbing drawings or where they drain too, please advise.
5. Regarding Sheet S103, should note 16 read, see 5‐S512 instead of 5‐ S511?
6. Regarding Sheet S103 note 7, recessed walk off mat see detail 3‐S502, this detail doesn’t show a recess in the concrete floor, I can’t find a spec section for the mats to see if they are in fact recessed or surface mounted, please advise.
7. Is there any chance the bid date could get extended, still trying to find qualified and interested subs.
8. Can another walkthrough be set up?

Response:
1. Is wood blocking required at the gutter edge, roof edge? Example, see 2‐A516.
Note that 2/A‐516 is noted on the east and west elevator walls on section A/A‐402, these details apply at the north and south walls, and are similar at the east and west walls with a ledger angle supporting the deck and no joists framing into the wall, see the attached sketch for additional details. Also note the ledger angle and anchor requirements for this detail, and on attached details 1 & 4/S‐512.
2. Regarding sheet A201, sheet note 12 says to extend metal siding down to Elevator, is this type of metal still available? Can the new metal panels used for the Elevator be used for this patch?
The existing metal siding is to remain, the term “extend” may be misleading, the intent is to cut the existing siding for installation of the new elevator area and flash the existing siding to the new construction.
3. Are there any Plumbing demo sheets? It appears concrete floor removal and replacement will be needed per sheets P401, P402, and P403 for the new waste lines. Please advise.
Conc slab demo is required for new plumbing install. See drawing AD110, keynote B5 for extent of floor slab demo.
4. Regarding sheet AD110 note B6, cut slab for trench drains, I don’t see these on the Plumbing drawings or where they drain too, please advise.
This is a trench only with no drain, a safeguard against the potential for spills in the hangar bay to leak under the doors. More information is provided on drawings S101‐S103.
5. Regarding Sheet S103, should note 16 read, see 5‐S512 instead of 5‐ S511?
Correct, note 16 should read 5/S‐512, and not 5/S‐511.
6. Regarding Sheet S103 note 7, recessed walk off mat see detail 3‐S502, this detail doesn’t show a recess in the concrete floor, I can’t find a spec section for the mats to see if they are in fact recessed or surface mounted, please advise.
The walk off mats are recessed. Drawing S‐502 is incorrectly labeled S‐501 (so there are two S‐501s in the drawing set). Detail 1 on the second S‐501 sheet shows the recessed slab.
