NOTES

In performance of this work item, the contractor and all subcontractors regardless of tier must comply with the requirements of all applicable GTR’s including but not limited to GTR’s 1 through 7, 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29.
The contractor and all subcontractors regardless of tier are advised to review other work items under this contract, including but not limited to Work Items 002, 004, 013, 020, 021.to determine their effect on the work required under this work item. Many of the definitions relating to performance of this work item are found in Work Item 001.
QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: None additional
STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED
1.2 Refurbish air escape screened terminals, overflow swing check valves, and inverted vent check valves associated with all tanks using References 2.1.1 and Enclosure 2.2.1 as guidance.
Accomplish a survey of tank vents identified in Enclosure 2.2.1. Submit an “as found” condition report that includes all vent locations, types, material, and sizes. Base inspections and repairs on tank vents being 6” diameter gooseneck vents where not specified in Enclosure 2.2.1.
1.2.1 Temporarily install blanks on all open vent pipes.
Lap all guides, stems, and seats.
Check discs for good contact with respective seats.
Replace flame screens with new 316 stainless steel mesh flame screens.
Prior to re-assembly, present the valves and screened terminals to the ABS Surveyor and OMT REP for inspection.
Prior to re-installation, demonstrate correct operation of the valves to the ABS Surveyor and OMT REP.
Clear obstructions and debris from tank vent piping for each tank associated with a valve or screened terminal using Reference 2.1.1 and Enclosure 2.2.1 as guidance.
1.3 After re-installation, present the valves and screened terminals to the ABS Surveyor and OMT REP for inspection.
1.4 Painting
Prepare, prime, paint and restore all new, soiled, and disturbed surfaces to match surrounding surfaces.
1.5 Reports
1.5.1 When inspection, service and testing reveal any deficiency a condition report is to be submitted to the OMT REP with recommended repairs and parts required. Submit one (1) electronic copy in Portable Document Format (PDF).
Provide an “as released” condition report to the OMT REP that includes a complete Enclosure 2.2.1 and a summary of all vent inspection and repairs. Submit one (1) electronic copy in Portable Document Format (PDF).
