About this file

This is a structured cabling design drawing for Swartz Creek Middle School Unit B, created by Convergent Technology Partners. The drawing details the installation requirements for Category 6A UTP cabling throughout multiple classrooms and work/pull rooms, with specific placement instructions for wall and ceiling locations. The design was completed in January 2025 with a previous design iteration from December 2024.

The technical specifications require all UTP cable to be ANSI/TIA Category 6A standard, with wall locations utilizing surface-mounted single-gang back boxes with white two-port faceplates. The installation includes specific requirements for cable concealment in contractor-provided raceways, service loops for ceiling locations, white 8P/8C (RJ45) jack terminations, and grounding for all cabinets. The drawing includes a floor plan showing multiple classrooms (numbered 401-412) with marked UTP locations, telecom cabinets, and bus bar placements. The design emphasizes standardized mounting heights, particularly in relation to whiteboards, and includes specific requirements for blank keystone jack inserts in unused faceplate ports.
