About this file
This is a structured cabling system floor plan drawing for Unit E of Swartz Creek High School, created by Convergent Technology Partners. The drawing details specifications for Category 6A UTP cable installations throughout various areas including a cafeteria, kitchen, main office, and staff lounge. The design documentation is dated January 24, 2025, with an initial design date of December 17, 2024.
The technical specifications require all UTP cable to be ANSI/TIA Category 6A compliant, with wall locations using surface-mounted single-gang back boxes with white two-port faceplates. The plan calls for specific installation requirements including concealed raceway cabling below ceiling, service loops for ceiling locations, white 8P/8C (RJ45) jack terminations, and grounding for all cabinets. The drawing includes both new and existing telecom bus-bar installations, and indicates an old computer lab area being modified. Installation heights are standardized, with specific placement instructions for locations with and without whiteboards.
