About this file

This is a technical structured cabling floor plan drawing for Unit D of Swartz Creek High School, prepared by Convergent Technology Partners. The drawing details Category 6A UTP cable installation requirements for various classrooms and spaces, including specifications for wall locations, faceplates, and ceiling mount locations. The design was completed in December 2024/January 2025 and includes installation requirements for multiple classrooms (311-320), storage rooms, and an athletics training area.

The drawing provides detailed technical specifications including the requirement for ANSI/TIA Category 6A cable, white two-port faceplates with blank keystone inserts, surface-mounted single-gang back boxes, and white 8P/8C (RJ45) jacks. All cabling below the ceiling must be concealed in contractor-provided raceway, and ceiling locations require service loops sufficient to reach the farthest room location. The plan includes a symbol legend identifying UTP locations, ceiling UTP locations, telecom cabinets, and bus bars. For estimation purposes, all cabinets are specified to need grounding, and bus block locations are to be determined using best practices.
