About this file

This is a technical drawing/floor plan for a structured cabling project at Swartz Creek High School, created by Convergent Technology Partners. The drawing shows Unit A of the high school and details the placement of Category 6A UTP cable installations, telecom cabinets, and bus-bar locations. The project includes specifications for wall-mounted data ports with white two-port faceplates, ceiling UTP locations, and both new and existing telecom bus-bars.

The technical specifications require all UTP cable to be ANSI/TIA Category 6A standard, with wall locations mounted in surface-mounted single-gang back boxes. Installation requirements include centering wall locations below whiteboards at standard height, concealing cables below ceiling in contractor-provided raceway, and providing ceiling locations with service loops. All Category 6A cables must terminate on white 8P/8C (RJ45) jacks, and all cabinets require grounding. The drawing includes both existing infrastructure and new installations, with detailed general notes for contractors regarding installation specifications and best practices.
