About this file

This is a structured cabling design drawing for Swartz Creek Community Schools, specifically for Swartz Creek High School, created by Convergent Technology Partners. The drawing details the telecommunications infrastructure layout for the second floor of the high school, divided into Unit A and Unit B, with specifications for Category 6A UTP cable installations, telecom cabinets, and bus-bar locations. The design was issued on 12/17/2024 and 1/24/2025, with work to include installation of wall-mounted data ports, ceiling UTP locations, and telecom grounding infrastructure.

The technical specifications require all UTP cable to be ANSI/TIA Category 6A, installed in surface-mounted single-gang back boxes with white two-port faceplates, with specific mounting requirements below whiteboards at standard height. The scope includes installation of cable concealment in contractor-provided raceways, service loops for ceiling locations, white 8P/8C (RJ45) jack terminations, and grounding for all cabinets. The drawing shows multiple classroom locations, including former computer lab spaces, and includes detailed placement of telecommunications infrastructure throughout both units of the second floor, including a new locker room area in Unit B.
