About this file

This is a technical drawing/floor plan for structured cabling work at Swartz Creek High School's Unit B, developed by Convergent Technology Partners. The drawing details specifications for Category 6A UTP cable installation throughout the building, including the Performing Arts Center area. The project includes installation requirements for wall locations with surface-mounted single-gang back boxes, white two-port faceplates, and specific placement instructions for areas with and without whiteboards. The design was completed in December 2024/January 2025.

The technical specifications require all UTP cable to be ANSI/TIA Category 6A standard, with white 8P/8C (RJ45) jacks for termination. Installation requirements include concealed raceway cabling below ceiling, service loops for ceiling locations, and grounding for all cabinets. The drawing includes a symbol legend identifying UTP locations, ceiling UTP locations, telecom cabinets, new telecom bus-bars, existing bus-bars, and old computer lab areas. The scale is noted as "not to scale" (NTS) with instructions to field verify all dimensions.
