G: No. A 4”dia, sched 40 painted bollard embedded in 12” dia x 3’ deep concrete pier shall be installed at the exposed corners of the compressor area under this contract.

Item 611 AD3 Dwg A101: The mechanical enclosure located between grid lines 12 and 15 on the east side of the building has the new concrete pad already placed. The BaSteel fencing system that was purchased for that enclosure has posts that are to be mounted in the concrete pad with footings below. Should the contractor consider coring through the existing pad or is it acceptable to enlarge the fence and place the posts outside the concrete pad? G: Contractor shall shift fencing to the West to install posts in new concrete. Provide closure panel to secure the Exterior Secured Receiving area.

Item 612 AD3 Dwg A101: Rolling gate #37 located on the east side of the building will not open properly due to the landing at door #19 if it is placed as shown in the construction drawings. Is it acceptable to move the gate to the north closing against the building and moving the fence panels to the south? G: Yes.

Item 613 AD3 Dwg A101: The current opening for the air shower is much larger than the equipment that is on site. Will the contractor need to fill this opening with wall section 3 utilizing CMU as shown or can the infill be done with steel stud framing matching the top of section of wall section 3? G: Infill with steel stud framing & metal wall panels(South)/tile(North) is acceptable.

Item 614 AD3 Dwg A101: In (2) locations the steel stud framed wall placed on top of the CMU wall in wall section 3 was not centered properly and the finishes are overhanging the CMU wall. This is not compliant with the design and will potentially allow air transfer between the CMU wall and Steel Stud wall. Is this condition acceptable or should the contractor consider a trim solution to seal this wall? G: Contractor shall ensure the metal trim to masonry top is continuously sealed with sealant.

Item 615 AD3 Dwg A101: Throughout the facility there are numerous walls that were not installed square or plumb. Is this condition acceptable to the government? G: Yes.

G: This contract shall remove & replace door & provide 90 minute rated assembly under this contract.

Item 617 AD3 Dwg A101: The mixing valve boxes installed in the 2hr fire rated wall are not fire rated boxes. What is the governments direction regarding these boxes? G: The contractor shall provide additional materials around the boxes to construct a 2HR Code rated wall penetration under this contract.

Addendum Three Repair Maintenance Shop, Bldg 8040 13 November 2020 FNWZ 12-0053

Addendum Two - Page 8

Item 618 AD3 Dwg A101: During the site visit it was noted that the exhaust stack on the paint booth was not installed and that the ceiling panels were fully installed with no opening to install the paint booth. The exhaust stack and support frame is laying outside the building. Currently fire sprinkler piping and electrical conduits are installed in the location that the exhaust stack is required to go in. What is the governments expectation regarding the exhaust stack? G: Exhaust stack shall be installed to meet manufacturer’s specifications/commissioning. This may require this contract to relocate non-compliant fire sprinkler piping or electrical conduits/wiring.

Item 619 AD3 Dwg A102: The contractor is being directed to provide a spill safe system with a maximum height of 2.5”. We did not see any specification regarding this system, and we cannot locate a system that meets the description on the plans. Please provide further instruction or specifications as to what is required. G: Contractor shall provide a polyurea floor finish throughout the room & 2.5” up perimeter walls.

Provide 2-1/2” x ¼” metal angle secured to interior jamb of door frame & floor.

MarvelShield Extreme Abrasion (M391), or approved equal, is a 100% solids, 100% polyurea coating designed for use as a highly abrasive elastomeric coating or topcoat.

Our estimation is that the exhaust stack weighs better than 2,000 pounds. The MBCI roof Panel specification states that NO mechanical equipment can be supported by the roof panels. The plans do not show any details as to how the exhaust stacks weight will be carried. The support frame cannot sit on the roofing panels. Please advise. G: Refer to Series 300 above.

Item 621 AD3 Dwg A106: During the site visit we could not locate a complete roofing curb assembly for the exhaust stack. Will the contractor be responsible to replace the missing roof curb components? G: Yes. Refer to Series 300 above.

If the factory startup identifies additional work that is required to be performed on the paint booth to make it fully operational, who is responsible for the additional costs? G: Contractor shall provide under this contract.

Item 623 AD3 Dwg S6.0: This detail is the structural framing for the exhaust stack that should be installed to form the opening. As the framing is now covered with the ceiling panels can the government verify that this detail is installed correctly as show? G: The government does not believe the framing has been installed. Contractor shall provide under this contract. Also, refer to Series 300 above.

Item 804 AD3 RFP, P1: Does the government require receipt of the original, hardcopy bid guarantee no later than the due date and time for electronic proposals? Or is only an electronic copy of the bid guarantee, included with the offeror’s emailed proposal, required?

G: No, just an electronic copy of proposal

Item 805 AD3 RFP, P2-3: In the “Proposal Preparation Instructions” it states “Offerors shall provide a detailed course of action and work plan…”. In Factor 2: Price, paragraph “a”, it states that proposals should “support the proposed technical approach.” Please clarify: The Evaluation Factors described in the RFP include just two factors:

Factor1 - Schedule, and Factor 2 - Price. There is no evaluation factor for a “work plan” or “proposed technical approach”. Please confirm that a narrative work plan/proposed technical approach is not part of the evaluation factors.

G: Schedule is for us to see how you plan on completing the work and the work pace you are setting for the site. The price breakdown has to follow the attached 16 Division price breakdown in order for us to evaluate it.
