About this file
This is a Task Assignment Change Order Form issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for a consulting contract with Michael Baker International. The contract, numbered CN202, involves work at River Rise Preserve State Park on the Equestrian Campground project. The FDEP Contract Manager is Mae Roth, and the consultant representative is Matt Johnson. The change order was approved on February 24-25, 2017, and signed by FDEP representatives including Budget Representative Greg Turral, Project Manager Brian Miller, Contract Manager Mae Roth, and Consultant Michael Schwier.
This change order constitutes a time extension only, with no adjustment to the contract budget. The original task amount of $195,501.08 (comprising $1,970.00 in reimbursement and $193,531.08 in fixed fees) remains unchanged across all task assignments totaling $199,980.44. The extension adds 185 days to the original task end date of December 31, 2016, moving the new task end date to September 1, 2017 (later adjusted to 9/1/17). The extension was requested to accommodate the redesign and relocation of a dump station facility at the campground, which required county coordination and approval of a new design location along the inner loop of the facility rather than the originally planned location.

Thanks, Brian.

Matt, We have been given some direction on how to proceed with the dump station location. Do you think you and maybe Michael would be able to come in for a discussion sometime early next week? I want to sit down with some plans in front of us to discuss the different options. So far I am open all Monday and Wednesday of next week, and could work around things on Tuesday if necessary.
The other thing I wanted to mention was we are coming up on the end of the task assignment contract amount time. It’s not a big deal, but we will need to extend the contract days. Can you please send a stand‐alone email requesting additional time due to the dump station issue and necessary re‐design time? In your request please also state what date you think it should be extended to. I will suggest you just add a month or two on to whatever you think necessary, this isn’t the schedule, just the contract period.
I will be out of the office tomorrow, but will be back Friday if you want to discuss further. Thanks

Brian, All things considered, we believe the best location would be along the inner loop. If we located to the outside, we’d be impacting the campsites and would likely lose a couple of them in order to design a driveway with adequate maneuverability.
Locating to the inside of the loop will require certain users to double back in order to access, but otherwise the location would be more convenient than outside the loop.
