About this file

The document is a National Cemetery Administration Safety Checklist for Contractors, designed to ensure comprehensive safety compliance for contractors working at the Calverton National Cemetery. The checklist covers seven primary areas of safety management: Safety and Health Policy, Responsibilities and Lines of Authorities, Accident Prevention Plan, Medical Support, Training, Safety and Health Inspections, and Site-Specific Plans and Procedures. Contractors are required to submit various safety documents with their quote/proposal and within specified timeframes post-award, including a company Safety and Health Policy Statement, accident reporting procedures, emergency response plans, medical support arrangements, employee training programs, inspection protocols, and specific site safety plans covering areas such as respiratory protection, hazard communication, heat/cold stress monitoring, fall protection, and confined space entry.

The checklist is specifically associated with Solicitation Number 36C78625B0029 for the Calverton National Cemetery's FY-25 project involving construction of Columbaria H through M and related repairs and improvements. The project requires contractors to demonstrate rigorous safety management across multiple dimensions, with documentation due at different stages of the contract process. The checklist emphasizes prevention, documentation, training, and compliance with OSHA regulations, ensuring a comprehensive approach to workplace safety for construction activities at the national cemetery.
