Introduction
Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Northwest uses Commander Navy Region
Northwest’s (CNRNW) Base Authorization and Visit Request (BAVR) website for submitting and processing all visit and badge requests in CNRNW. All requests must be submitted through BAVR.
Reasons for submitting a request through BAVR:
An employee (civilian or military) needs to obtain or renew a Pacific Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS*) identification authentication.
A contractor or sponsored visitor needs temporary access to one of the Navy Region Northwest installations.
*DBIDS is an identification authentication and force protection tool that is fully operational throughout the world. DBIDS uses a wireless handheld device to scan the IDs similar to the devices used by the gate guards. This system checks criminal and military data sources to determine who is authorized aboard the base.
