About this file

This is a Quick Entry Guide for the NIST SP 800-171 Assessment Database within the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS), version 3.2.13. The guide provides step-by-step instructions for users to access and navigate the system, which is designed to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in nonfederal systems and organizations.

To access SPRS, users must obtain a "SPRS Cyber Vendor User" role through the PIEE (Partner Information Exchange Environment) portal, then navigate to the NIST 800-171 Assessment module. The system requires companies to create a header for each Highest Level Owner (CAGE) code, with the CAGE hierarchy imported from the System for Award Management (SAM), typically flowing to SPRS within 48 hours of updates. Users can view assessment details at four confidence levels: Basic, Medium, High Virtual, and High On-site. The guide outlines procedures for adding new assessments by entering assessment details including assessment date, score, assessing scope, plan of action completion date, system security plan information, and included CAGE(s). Authorized users can edit existing assessments using a pencil button within the details view. The document serves as an instructional reference rather than a solicitation or contract requirement document.
