About this file

All contractor employees must comply with the VA security management program, obtain VA police permission, be identified by employer and project, and restrict unauthorized access as the project area requires a VA badge or escort. Long-term contractors will undergo background checks including fingerprinting for VA badges, while short-term contractors may be escorted with approval. The contractor must ensure security paperwork is promptly processed and comply with all requirements at no additional cost to the government. The contractor shall also adequately protect facilities against vandalism and theft where work is being performed.
